Joining a Grassroots Organizations = Political Strength

As a group of former legislators and activists, we believe that the key to creating a blue wave in Iowa is through your grassroots efforts. The new Grassroots Iowa Network is all about the amazing work you’re doing across our state. We think your ideas deserve to be shared more widely, building momentum and expanding your influence.

Your grassroots work will create a realistic opportunity to move Iowa forward.

There’s power in numbers… We know it’s tough to get traction in today’s political climate to build a broad commitment to a positive role for government in Iowa. But we believe that by connecting grassroots organizations, we can achieve positive electoral results. We want to help you build bridges with people who value democracy and a commitment to successful communities across Iowa.

Get Pinned! Our goal is to have a pin for a grassroots organization in every community on our GIN statewide map. Just fill out this form below and we’ll add you to our lists of organizations in each of Iowa’s four Congressional Districts.

Don’t forget to check out our calendar of events where you can easily add information so people can easily connect with your events and grow your organization.

By using GIN Network tools, you’ll help restore the confidence that Iowans need to support your ideas. Together, we can create a new, working majority in Iowa that supports growth that benefits all Iowans.

Social Media

In today’s digital world, most folks turn to the internet when they want to find causes to support or movements to join. At the GIN, we believe organizing strength is amplified with a digital presence. Even small grassroots groups need a social media presence to be noticed, stay relevant, and connect with supporters.

You can create a simple web landing page that introduces your organization and encourages visitors to take a specific action, such as signing up for a newsletter or following your organization on social media. Either way, establishing a reputable presence through a website, Facebook page, BlueSky, or Instagram account makes it easy for existing members, potential supporters, and partners to find and learn about your organization.

Without an online presence, you might miss out on all the opportunities to grow and make a real impact. So, let’s make it simple for people to know about your organization and how you want to work across your community to build a better, stronger, and more welcoming Iowa.
