Write for Rights!! Amnesty International’s Annual Write-a-Thon

The Ames Chapter of Amnesty International invites you to the 2025 Amnesty International Annual Write-a-Thon.

Every December, Amnesty International (www.amnesty.org) supporters worldwide come together to generate hundreds of thousands of letters on behalf of people threatened or imprisoned for exercising their basic rights.

This annual event gets results!! Stop by and write for one case or all nine of this year’s featured cases. Newcomers are always welcome.

You can write by hand or bring a laptop. Experienced letter writers will help newcomers. Anyone middle school age or older is invited to Wright. All writing supplies, printer, and postage are provided. Bring a friend, bring two friends!
