No Kings – Ames Justice for All
We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.
As we face escalating challenges to our democratic institutions, we stand united to remind the world: America has NO KINGS, and the power belongs to the people. Following the massive scale of previous national protests, we are rising up again in Ames to prove that this isn’t just a moment—it’s a movement that lasts.
Join Democracy Every Day, The League of Women Voters of Ames & Story County, and Indivisible Ames on March 28th as we gather for No Kings-Ames: Justice for All. Our movement continues to grow because protecting our democracy requires constant vigilance and collective action.
On Saturday, March 28, march with us and say it loud: NO thrones, NO crowns, NO kings. We aren’t just watching history; we are making it. Join us.
What to Expect
The rally program from 1 PM to 3 PM will focus on community strength and direct action. There will be pre-rally music, art, & sign making beginning at Noon (12 PM)

Come connect with your neighbors, learn about concrete actions you can take, and let’s show the strength of our community when we stand together.
Our Commitment to Nonviolence
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events
