Legislative 101 – Demystifying the Iowa Legislative Session
You’re invited! Join us for Legislative 101 – a Zoom gathering designed to demystify the Iowa legislative session.
RSVP here to join us on Tuesday, January 27 at 6 pm.
On the Zoom, we’ll cover:
- a basic overview of the legislative session
- how the Iowa legislative process works — we’ll use a bill we’re currently monitoring to illustrate how a bill moves through the steps and we’ll point out key times when citizen lobbyists can have a the biggest impact
- how to find your legislators, including their contact info and committee assignments
There will be plenty of time for your questions!
And, we’ll end with a very quick overview of the bills we’re tracking this session and an overview of what CCI Action Lobby Days look like in hopes that you’ll consider attending one.
