Community First – No Kings Rally – Ames

Join us on October 18 for our local No Kings rally.

We will meet at O’Neil Park, 300 South Maple, in Ames from 1:00-3:00 PM. We will start with a sign brigade march, then return to the park for speakers and activities. For those who don’t feel comfortable marching, we will do a standing sign brigade along South Fourth.

Local organizations will be there to share with you how to support their work, as well as to share their resources with others who may be in need. You can come a little early and make a sign or to jump into the drum circle, make a bracelet, chalk the sidewalks, and meet people at the tables.

We will be collecting food and hygiene items for a local food bank. Please consider donating to this cause.

Bring your signs, bring your walking shoes, bring your passion, and bring a friend! We hope to see you there!

Sponsored by Democracy Every Day, Indivisible Ames, and League of Women Voters of Ames and Story County.
